Fast and furious team building event combined with high tech vehicles (or foot, mountain bike, helicopter or RIBs or yachts)that will certainly appeal to those with a sense of adventure. An activity that tests teams both physiclly and mentally. The treasure hunt activity be organised at a location of your choice, we specialise in the New Forest, The Solent and London. All treasure hunts are tailored to your specific group of people and location that you choose. Your route and the variety of tasks en route are uniquely designed to involve all the different types of people in your group. Your bespoke treasure hunt can be organised from almost any starting point – in a city, your office, a country pub… A treasure hunt is the ultimate energiser where your guests will feel the wind in their hair and the blood pumping. These fun tailored experiences are often seen as a reward to treat your team and make them feel special with teams often feeling united because they share a variety of challenges together. The team success hinges on good planning skills, effective time management and reliable decision-making abilities. Because your treasure hunt is designed for you it is relevant to your business and you can even incorporate key messages, for example, new technology, new products or processes. The General FormatYour group gathers together for an icebreaker which is used to organise everyone into smaller teams (normally of 5 – 12 people in a team). Each team is presented with their first clue in a team pack which also includes an array of items: camera, map, pocket money, barter items, snacks, water, even suntan lotion in the summer! Teams listen to a professional presenter who sets the scene and describes how you might find answers to your clues. At the same time you can see your itinerary and instructions in your team pack and (if numbers are very large) you will be able to see instructions projected onto a screen. Teams are advised to plan their journey so that they turn up at certain rendezvous points on time. Sometimes rendezvous contacts are disguised, for example, in the shape of informants in The Mole in the City (see below). This also enables us to keep track of teams and help to keep them on course. Meeting the support team while out and about is all part of a team’s success. Once teams understand their task – i.e. what they’re looking for and how they’re expected to find it – they are let loose. There are a number of different formats (or themes) for your treasure hunt. Here are a few of the most popular: The MoleThis format is a tailored teasure hunt with the added dimension of guests/teams having to reveal the identity of ‘The Mole’ from a list of suspects (true murder mystery style). Team packs are attaché cases rather than rucksacks and include investigative tools like Dictaphones, UV lights, Binoculars etc. The “spy” theme adds to the fun and clues taking you round the city/area are all linked in giving the event a real sense of purpose for the teams. At the same time the theme element plays on the element of competition between teams as they race to uncover clues to be the first team to uncover The Mole’s identity. Along the route our support crew double as “informants” at specific locations in the city or area selected. Teams must negotiate with the informants for critical information to help them with the investigation to uncover the identity of The Mole. Suspense and anticipation hold your group rapt and absorbed from beginning to end. As the burning question – who is “The Mole”? – drives you on, pieces of the case fall into place, and excitement builds as teams gain ground against each other to solve the mystery. The fast pace of The Mole treasure hunt is combined with gadgets associated with detective work, encounters with informants and the climax of revealing the master criminal’s identity. This combination keeps energy levels high and gives a real sense of purpose as delegates explore their route. The Rough Guide to …Your team create their own unique (often tongue in cheek) guidebook based on the city in which you have your treasure hunt. Normally teams create a light-hearted guidebook that is testament to the fun they’ve had on the event. An element of competition can be incorporated by judging the guidebooks dependent on certain predetermined criteria. Team packs include Polaroid cameras The Rough Guide Treasure Hunt gives your group the most autonomy to decide where they go, when they go and how long they spend there. Each chapter in your team guidebook has a theme associated with your company or with the city you’ve chosen. Guidelines help your teams to see a good variety of sights, some famous landmarks and some more interesting/unusual scenes. The Rough Guide Treasure Hunt is versatile and works particularly well for a group who are already familiar with the area you have chosen. Each chapter in your team guidebook centres on a particular theme. Rough Guide in Paris would normally have chapters dedicated to Fashion, Art and Romance. These combine with standard chapters, like Food & Drink, Language & Accommodation…to give the guidelines for your teams to create their own unique guidebook. In your team packs you’ll find your professionally bound A4 guide waiting for your team to fill in the words and pictures using the cameras and accessories provided. Once you’ve explored the city you all return to base with your own experiences captured in your guidebook. Sharing what you’ve done and talking about where you’ve been with other teams gives an impressive buzz to the whole team at whatever stage of your meeting or conference. Team VehiclesEach team will be given a high tech luxury Volvo XC-90 4x4 vehicle to complete their treasure hunt in. Other vehicles can be arranged and of course our treasure hunts are not exlclusively for the land with high speed RIBs and luxury Sunseeker powerboats used instead.
